Salvation Mountain

Salvation Mountain in Niland, CA has been on my 'To See' list for quite some time now. How could it not be? It is so unique -- an art gallery in the middle of the desert. This brightly colored display is located about 4 hours from Los Angeles and 1.5 hours from Palm Springs. It is definitely a trek to get to, but absolutely worth the effort. Go see it at least once in your life!
